Air strikes begin as Blair says 'We must end vile oppression.'

Article Abstract:

Nato has launched air strikes on cities in Yugoslavia following the refusal of President Slobodan Milosevic to accept a peace deal for Kosovo, Yugoslavia. President Bill Clinton has stated that the goals of the air strikes are to deter Milosevic from increasing attacks on the ethnic Albanian majority in Kosovo, to limit Serbia's capacity to wage war and to show Nato's determination to resolve this issue. Serb forces continue to attack Albanian villages in Kosovo.

Hillary faces Whitewater hearing ordeal

Article Abstract:

Hillary Clinton may be cleared of any crime in the Whitewater affair, but even the fact that she will have to attend court will be of great embarrassment for the White House. She has become increasingly embroiled in the affair, which was first revealed in the 1990s as a minor property venture. She has in the past been a great asset to her husband, but is now proving divisive and a possible negative element in the forthcoming election campaign.
