Cartoon fiends from the Orient

Article Abstract:

Japanese thrillers have themes of revenge, feudalism and technology but their characters have no individuality or emotion. The theory of Japanese superiority is popular in Japan. Japanese economic success brought about books on business and economics. Ridley Scott made films such as 'Black Rain' and 'Blade Runner' which depicts a futuristic Los Angeles where the people speak a mixture of Japanese and Spanish. Sony bought Columbia Pictures in 1989 and Matsushita bought MCA in 1990. 'Rising Sun', published in 1992, is well researched and explains Japanese ascendance with American laziness.
