Danger! Enemies at work ...

Article Abstract:

There are many different reasons why working relationships in an office environment break down. These include differences of personality, differences of values, prejudice and conflict of interest. It is important to identify the precise cause of relationship breakdowns, as each cause has a slightly different solution. In cases where differences of personality seem to be causing problems, for example, it is worthwhile encouraging the people concerned to work together on an important project or sending them on a business trip together.

Beer? It's simply not British!

Article Abstract:

Although beer is a very popular drink in the UK it did not originate there or even in Europe. Historians have shown that it originated in the Middle East, traces of brewing activity having been found around the Mediterranean and in Egypt. Chemical analysis has shown a site in modern-day Iran to have been a brewery 6,000 years ago and the latest research suggests barley was first fermented in Sumer, south Babylonia, between 4000 and 3000 BC. The original drink was ale, not beer, the former containing no hops.

How to get on top of things that get on top of you

Article Abstract:

The first stage in gaining more control over your life is to strive for greater self-knowledge. It is important to recognize why you are feeling that you do not have control over your life, then to consider how to tackle the situations in which you lack control. In some cases, it will be easy to gain more control over your life, as people may actually be wanting you to assume more responsibility. In other cases, the best way to gain more control may be to ask others to take on more responsibility.
