Ex-Labour aides selling the inside track on how to block party policy

Article Abstract:

Neal Lawson, Ben Lucas and Jon Mendelsohn, former advisers to leading members of the UK Labour party, stated when they formed their ethical lobbying concern LLM that they would not take on clients whose behaviour or goals they disapproved of. However, they are now advising News International about how to improve its image and how to deal with the Competition Bill and the Fairness at Work White Paper. Their stance is particularly surprising in the light of the fact that Lucas and Lawson both have a trade union background.

Kosovo rebels to adopt guerrilla tactics

Article Abstract:

The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) may turn to a guerrilla campaign as it becomes increasingly apparent that it cannot defeat the Serbian forces in a conventional armed conflict. Waging a guerrilla campaign would present the KLA with problems in relation to the civilian population, however, particularly as a humanitarian crisis is already emerging as many displaced people in central Kosovo lack basic necessities. The international community is calling for a peace settlement based on autonomy for Kosovo within Yugoslavia.
