Investors flock to software flotation

Article Abstract:

JSB's stock market flotation has raised GB 3.6mn and enabled the sale of GB 4.2mn worth of shares by institutional shareholders, it will emerge on 4 June 1998. The UK-based software developer, whose products are used to allow firms to prevent staff from accessing specific internet sites, is valued a GB 18.9mn and shares will begin trading in mid-June 1998 at 200p per share. JSB, which reported sales of GB 2.36mn for the ten months to March 1998 on profits of GB 10,000, plans to promote its SurfControl Internet package in the UK and US with cash gleaned from the flotation.

UK: AIM FLOTATION FOR NRX GLOBAL

The Internet procurement firm, NRX Global, is to float on the Alternative Investment Market (Aim) on 10 November 2000 with a market value of GB[pound] 40.4mn. The spare parts specialist for the mining industry aims to raise GB[pound] 15mn via the issuing of 12mn shares priced at GB[pound] 1.25 each. The money raised will be used to work on its proprietary technology.

Laporte shareholders will obtain around GB[pound] 200mn, with half the figure coming in the form of redeemable shares as part of a bonus issue to those with ordinary shares. The UK-based speciality chemicals business will return the remaining GB[pound] 100mn after release of the redeemable shares.
