Women who leave their husband for another woman find that they enter into a much deeper relationship. There may not really have been any problems with their relationship with their husband, but they realize once they have established a relationship with another woman that there were significant elements missing from their marriage. Husbands generally find it easier to accept being left for a woman than for another man, as fewer comparisons are made.

The UK government is considering sending young offenders to military training centres, where the regime is extremely tough. Military personnel who have spent time in such centres report that the experience was very physically demanding. The warders constantly shout at and humiliate the prisoners, and many prisoners are reduced to tears of pain and frustration. However, they generally feel that the experience taught them a valuable lesson.

Many of the UK's most famous museums open only for a short time on Sundays, even though this is the one day of the week when many people would have time to visit a museum. This is a strange attitude, given that tourism is the largest industry in London. It is also very frustrating when these museums open quite late on some days during the week.
