LA police rocked by new claims of brutality
Article Abstract:
The police department in Los Angeles, CA, is attracting renewed controversy following the suspension of 12 officers. These officers are suspected of crimes including drug dealing and failing to report clear infringements of the law. Former officer Rafael Perez, convicted of stealing cocaine from the police's Rampart Division, has revealed details of crimes committed by fellow officers. These officers are in turn implicating others in order to reduce the impact of future prosecution.
