Modern problem that is not to be sneezed at

Article Abstract:

Allergies have become an extremely common problem in modern society. Many people are allergic to house dust mites, which cause rhinitis and ultimately asthma. This problem can be tackled by using pillows and duvets made of materials which can be washed at temperatures high enough to kill the house dust mite and by using sprays on soft furnishings and carpets. Some people may be allergic to formaldehyde, which is used in many household items. The British Allergy Foundation recommends that curtains and soft furnishings are vacuumed once a fortnight.

In Madrid on Saturday afternoon the streets are deserted; ten hours later you can hardly move

Article Abstract:

The city of Madrid, Spain, is extremely attractive, offering many grand buildings, parks and statues. It is particularly enjoyable to wander among the narrower streets, where many small cafes are to be discovered. The city tends to be very quiet in the afternoons, but has a very active nightlife, which can continue well into the early hours of the morning. The central area is relatively small, so is easy to visit on foot.

48 hours in ... Istanbul

Article Abstract:

There is a wide range of accommodation around Sultanahmet Square in the centre of Istanbul, Turkey. Many of the city's cultural attractions are situated close together, so it is not necessary to walk very far. It is worth visiting the Hippodrome, the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art, the old bazaar, the Mosaic Museum and the Blue Mosque. The best place for shopping is the Covered Bazaar, which has around 4,000 shops.
