Normandy conquest

Article Abstract:

Britons seeking to purchase a holiday home in France tend to focus on areas such as the Dordogne and Provence, which are a very long drive from the Channel ports. It is worth considering northern France, which is less fashionable but has the advantage of being much nearer to the UK. It is possible to visit a holiday home in northern France just for a weekend, rather than only during longer holidays. The most attractive parts of northern France are Normandy, Picardy and Nord and Pas de Calais.

Any face you want, except the real one

Article Abstract:

Actor Kenneth Williams, who committed suicide in 1988, led a very tragic life, as shown very clearly in a two-part film about his life by Liz Hartford. He had serious ambitious as an actor, but was never able to cut himself free from his comic persona. He did not ever reveal his true self, and was unable to ground his characters in some form of everyday reality. He was prevented by his egotism from seeing that he had a lasting influence on British culture.

Futuroscope, which has a new attraction, a 600 square metre Imax 3 dimensional cinema, and had almost three million tourists in 1995. does not have the hype of other theme parks.
