Nothing can stop the travelling techno-ravers

Article Abstract:

Spiral Tribe techno music group have a powerful sound system and provide weekly, free raves in the countryside for fans who discover the venue by telephone. It is a collective of 23 like-minded people, funded by collections at raves. Modern technology gives the music a mercilessly pounding beat.Group members believe that the land produces an energy which connects with everything. They aim to make people environmentally conscious. Despite the antagonism of the tabloid press and the arrest of some members at the Castlemorton Common rave for causing disorder, the Tribe will continue.

Techno's 'well weird' grandad

Article Abstract:

The music of Karlheinz Stockhausen has been criticised by some observers over recent decades. However, he is now starting to regain support, especially among young ambient and techno artists. He has been working in recent years on a vast opera project, which he believes will take a total of 25 years to write. His work initially seems to be far removed from techno dance music, but there are in fact some strong links.

From an old shed to a techno toy palace

Article Abstract:

The new Techniquest technology exhibition hall, part of the Cardiff Bay development, contains 180 large custom-made devices designed by an in-house team. They are intended to allow children to become familiar with particular scientific and technological concepts. Visitors are encouraged to use all the exhibits, thus increasing their interest in science and technology.
