Prospect of a force for the community

Article Abstract:

Senior police officers in the UK now acknowledge that decisive action is required to eliminate institutional racism within police forces. They also wish to ensure that police forces place more emphasis on tackling racism in society as a whole. This is particularly the case in London, England, where the Metropolitan Police will operate a racial and violent crime task force. Police officers will become more closely involved in investigating racism, and they will be encouraged to shed discriminatory views.

Police alleged that Waddon and fellow computer designer Raymond McArthur-Jones, who has already been jailed for a separate pornography offence, distributed extremely obscene photographs on the Internet. At one point, one site alone was making 4,500 pounds sterling a day.
