Refugees choke the roads as bloody clearance resumes

Article Abstract:

A second wave of ethnic cleansing has begun in Kosovo, Yugoslavia, with the Serb authorities driving out large numbers of ethnic Albanians. The refugees have been crossing into Albania, Montenegro and Macedonia. Many report that they have witnessed atrocities being carried out by the Serbian army, police and paramilitaries. There is considerable tension in Macedonia, where there have been delays in evacuating refugees to third countries and where the minority Albanian population has been horrified by Yugoslavia's treatment of the Kosovars.

'The Arabs' pick daunting area to make last stand

Article Abstract:

It is believed that between 1,000 and 2,000 Arab fighters have assembled in Tora Bora, Afghanistan, near the site of an al-Qa'ida training camp. They could include several senior members of al-Qa'ida, and possibly even Osama bin Laden himself. The Arabs are thought to be scattered across a wide area of the inhospitable White Mountains.
