Take a walk on the mild side

Article Abstract:

Dean Honer, DJ Parrot and Jason Buckle, who make up music group The All Seeing I, prefer to remain as anonymous as possible. Indeed, their names do not even appear on the forthcoming album 'Pickled Eggs & Sherbet.' They feel that their attitude is closely connected with the fact that they are from Sheffield, England, where people tend to go about their business quietly. They have been very surprised by the success of their single 'Beat Goes On,' which is now being used on television.

Brought to you live from your own sitting room

Article Abstract:

Director and artist Warwick Broadhead regards his one-man shows as a kind of nostalgia trip for the audience. He uses delicately crafted dolls, reminding the audience of when they performed to their parents. He prefers not to perform for an audience of more than 20, charging 300 pounds sterling for each show. He is particularly familiar with the work of Lewis Carroll, and has previously directed productions of 'Through The Looking Glass' and 'Alice in Wonderland' in New Zealand.

Pills, thrills and tax bills

Article Abstract:

Shaun Ryder, leader of rock group the Happy Mondays, believes that the group was many years ahead of its time when it began performing. The group split up in 1993 following a disastrous album and subsequent tour, but has now been reformed. Ryder feels that things will be different this time, as the rest of the world has now caught up with the group's music. He wishes to emphasize that the reformed group is not merely recycling old material.
