The Devlin legacy that made her 'guilty.' (Roisin McAliskey, suspected of involvement in IRA bombing of military base in Osnabruck, Germany, in Jun 1996)

Article Abstract:

Supporters of Roisin McAliskey, who is suspected of involvement in the IRA bombing of a military base in Osnabruck, Germany, in Jun 1996, believe that she has been singled out for extremely harsh treatment because she is the daughter of former Mid-Ulster MP Bernadette Devlin. She may also have been targeted because she has a daughter by Sean McCotter, who has served a prison sentence for IRA-related activities. The German government is seeking to have her extradited, but lawyers in the UK claim that there is no firm evidence against her.

Why I fought for the right to be female

Article Abstract:

A further education college which dismissed a male employee after he began treatment to become a woman was guilty of unfair dismissal, according to the European Court of Justice. This case may set a precedent for a considerable number of others which are believed to be in preparation. The UK government may now have to amend legislation on this issue, according to the Equal Opportunities Commission.
