The truth about Daniel

Article Abstract:

A teenager who is diagnosed as having leukaemia can suffer many conflicting emotions, as can the parents and other family members. All those concerned find that their lives change completely, and many adjustments have to be made. Some patients are able to adopt a positive attitude, but cannot avoid feeling depressed at times, especially during periods of traumatic treatment. It can take several years to achieve a full cure, and during this time it is common to encounter prejudiced and ill-informed attitudes.

The real mystery of the Sphinx: why do falsehoods drive out truth?

Article Abstract:

Many different theories have been put forward about Ancient Egyptian culture. Some of these border on the occult, and seem to be particularly popular with ordinary people as the 21st century approaches. One theory is that the Sphinx at Giza shows signs of weathering by rainfall, rather than by sand. This is interpreted as indicating that Egyptian culture arose many thousands of years before the traditionally accepted dates, and must therefore have come from some remote source.

Sex, truth and TV drama

Article Abstract:

The television drama 'Nervous Energy,' which is soon to be shown on BBC2 as part of the Red Ribbon series, tells the true story of a gay men's battle with Aids. It took a long time to write, but eventually began to come together. It is designed to be different from the many US films about Aids which are now being produced, and shows both the positive and negative aspects of a loving relationship.
