Sexual harassment: what to do if it happens to you

Article Abstract:

Sexual harassment in the workplace often goes unnoticed because victims do not know how to react to it. Different means for dealing with sexual harassment are presented. These include trusting personal instincts, talking to friends or counselors, saying no to the harasser and documenting details of every incident. When legal action has to be taken, it is also important to use company and union channels and to file charges with the appropriate antidiscrimination agency.

Trial by teapot in the burns unit

Article Abstract:

It can be hard to come to terms with needing a skin graft after a serious burn. Efforts are made to make at least part of the burn heal before a graft is considered, but if a graft is required, the burnt skin must be shaved off and new skin applied. The repaired site will heal in time, but is initially uncomfortable and vulnerable to infection. The patient may need to wear a special elasticated garment to avoid scarring.

Neuroimaging, XII: SPECT imaging of dopamine nerve terminals

Article Abstract:

New developments in pharmaceuticals include radioligands that make it possible to detect alterations of brain receptor function before symptoms manifest neurodegenerative diseases. The radioligands or brain receptor probes bind to dopamine transporters and these are then observed with the use of positron emission tomography or single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging.
