Wounded nation braces for war

The US government has indicated that it will undertake a gradual, long-term military campaign against the threat of terrorism in response to the terrorist attacks against the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. All options are being considered, including the use of B-2 stealth bombers or cruise missiles.

Bin Laden steps up defiance of US by urging Muslims to resist the 'crusader.'

Article Abstract:

Osama bin Laden, the prime suspect in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon, has issued a statement calling on Muslims to resist the aggression of the US and its allies. At the same time, Bush placed a freeze on the assets of 27 terrorists, terrorist groups and organizations believed to be a front for terrorists.

US general will go to Philippines as Bush fulfils his pledge for a war without limits

Article Abstract:

The US government has indicated that it plans to extend its military action against Afghanistan to cover both overt and covert action in Asian countries including Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia. A group of military specialists is to be sent to the Philippines to work with local troops in conflict with the Abu Sayyaf Islamic movement.
