A filmmaker describes his experiences of making a documentary series for Channel 4 about people who work in the City of London, including stockbrokers, merchant bankers and traders. The significant challenges associated with dealing with the public relations staff employed by City of London firms are discussed and the cynicism with which his project was greeted is detailed. The nine months of negotiation required to gain access to the London Futures Exchange are highlighted.

ITC challenge from Flextech
Article Abstract:
Flextech, the TV channel provider, is seeking a judicial review to the Independent Television Commission's decision to change the rules under which cable operators agree to carry channels. The ITC abolished minimum carriage guarantees whereby channel providers can demand their channels are received by a certain proportion of subscribers. Flextech argues that the ITC has acted illegally by interfering with contracts.
