Article Abstract:
The restoration of Richmond, VA, historic Haxall/Kanawha Canal system and the elimination of combined sewer overflows (CSOs) through a public-private partnership is described. The CSOs date back to the late 1800s and discharge wastewater into the James River and the Haxall/Kanawha Canal after major storms. The city's Dept of Public Utilities is replacing CSOs with a 96 in diameter pipeline and four hydraulic regulators to capture flows from steep lateral trunk sewers.

The notion that real estate professionals receive commissions that are not commensurate to the services they provide clients is not accurate. Real estate agents and brokers have to invest time and provide knowledge and experience before being able to close a sale.
