Analysis on the key factors influencing competitive advantages of DRAM industry in Taiwan

Article Abstract:

The major factors that influence the competitive advantages of Taiwan's dynamic random access memory (DRAM) industry are analyzed. In analyzing these factors, a framework was established and relevant secondary data were collected and examined. Based on a questionnaire summary of these factors, expert interviews were conducted with the executives and engineers in Taiwan's DRAM industry. Some strategic focus on the country's DRAM industry in the future are also discussed.

Liquid crystal display industry in Taiwan

Article Abstract:

The emergence of liquid crystal display (LCD) industry in Taiwan indicates the progressive development of the high-tech industry in the country. The transformation of Taiwan from labor-intensive manufacturing to a more technologically intensive one has increased the country's international competitiveness in the LCD industry. The LCD industry is evolving from twisted nematic (TN) type to super twisted nematic (STN) and thin film transistor (TFT) types.
