Aspects of the technical development of Yugoslav agriculture

Article Abstract:

The meager land potential and outflow of labor from agriculture has forced Yugoslavia to rely on non-agricultural inputs for its agricultural production development. Although this approach has managed to raise production, production costs have also increased. In addition, more agricultural inputs have also resulted in reduced capital accumulation and reproduction potentials of agriculture. Agricultural productivity has to be increased to self-sufficient levels while rationalizing technologies used. The present conflict within Yugoslavia makes the situation even more difficult.

Demonstration projects for diffusion of multifaceted technology: characterization and strategy

Article Abstract:

Demonstration projects are considered for bringing non-product research and development work into reality. Such technology transfers, which are different from commercial technology implementation, are characterized by the 'methods, processes and technical philosophies.' To show the use of demonstration projects, two examples are given. The first involves the prevention and repair of boiler tube failures while the second involves the life extension of aging fossil-fuel power plants.

Software's 'functional coding' and personnel mobility in technology transfer: linkage fields between industry and publicly funded research

Article Abstract:

Research is presented concerning the development of complex linkage fields by basic research programs which have been funded publicly. Thirty case studies are analyzed to investigate technology transfer as a result of such linkage.
