Constitutive modeling of inelastic solids for plastic flow processes under cyclic dynamic loadings

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to examine the constitutive modeling of inelastic solids for plastic flow processes under cyclic dynamic loadings. The primary goal was the description of the behavior and fatigue damage of inelastic solids in plastic flow processes under dynamic cyclic loadings. Results indicate that for cycle fatigue damage mechanics at high temperature of metals, the intrinsic microdamage process very much depends on the strain rate effects as a sequence of growth, nucleation and coalescence of microcracks.

Application of the hybrid constitutive model for cyclic plasticity to sinusoidal loading

Article Abstract:

A hybrid model for cyclic plasticity was used for sinusoidal loading tests. Sinusoidal loading results in stresses and strains and its degree of nonproportionality is determined by strain range ratios. These ratios will indicate either proportional, circular or ellipsoidal loading. Results show the effectiveness of the hybrid model in simulating both proportional and sinusoidal loading.

Multiaxial cyclic ratcheting in coiled tubing--theoretical modeling, part I

Article Abstract:

Research proposes a plasticity model for predicting multiaxial cyclic ratcheting of tubular structures that are subjected to pressure and bending/axial loading. Data indicate that the model explains the mechanical behavior of coiled tubing, submitted to complex loading, in terms of diametral growth and shrinkage.
