Article Abstract:

Researchers studying the effects of stress on children's health on Caribbean island of Dominica believe that family-related trauma is the leading cause of stress-induced illness in children. The researchers found that the amount of the hormone Cortisol, a main trigger of the stress response, was chronically high among children in difficult family situations. Levels of the hormone fluctuated more efficiently among children in stable family enviroments.

By using natural materials such as harvested jungle tree fibers for making paper, villagers can create an array of cards and notepaper that can be shipped to international marketplaces and sold.
