ENIAC: the birth of the information age

Article Abstract:

The launching of the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC) on Feb. 14, 1946 ushered in the Information Age. ENIAC, the first general-purpose electronic computer in the world, showed that the idea of an all-electronic, programmable computer is feasible.
