Farmers say EPA should play no role in land-use decisions

Article Abstract:

Farmers, foresters, and ranchers will oppose the Environmental Protection Agency's proposed rule to regulate nonpoint source pollution despite a ruling from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.The court ruled in favor of the EPA in a lawsuit filed by several landowners for alleged overextension of the EPA's authority to regulate environmental pollution.

EPA, states win first court battle over stormwater program

Article Abstract:

A federal court ruled that the EPA's city stormwater permits do not have to meet the state's standards for water quality. Defenders of Wildlife sued the EPA over stormwater permits approved in five Arizona cities because the permits did not require specific numeric limits for contaminants or water quality monitoring.

NRDC report backs long-delayed stormwater rules
