Flaw found in quantum code

Article Abstract:

Two separate teams have found a theoretical flaw in a quantum cryptography scheme known as bit commitment. The quantum principle of entanglement, by which one photon in a pair reveals information about the other, makes it possible for the sender to change the message.

New attacks breach computer codes

Computer security experts have succeeded in breaking a number of encryption systems previously believed impregnable, including public-key and secret-key systems, by observing computer functions. However, this does not mean that cryptosystems are worthless.
