Lawsuit seeks to stop plans to line All-American canal

Article Abstract:

Consejo de Desarrollo Economico de Mexicali and two California environmental groups - Citizens United for Resources and the Environment and Desert Citizens Against Pollution have filed a lawsuit that stops plans to decrease seepage in All-American canal in United States district court in Las Vegas. United States Bureau of Reclamation planned to construct a parallel section alongside the All-American canal to clean seepage in the canal.

Tsunami Warning and Education Act becomes law

The expression of consent by President George W. Bush to the passage of the Tsunami Warning and Education Act by the United States Congress is described. The regulation of real estate development in the United States according to this law is discussed.
