Water resources bill passes senate, heads to conference

Article Abstract:

Members of both chambers of the United States Congress are to meet to approve the bill passed by the Senate for reauthorizing the Water Resources Development Act. The bill was passed under Senator Russ Feingold's amendment and specifies projects to be implemented by the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

Water financing bill faces lingering hurdles in Senate

Fiscal considerations and partisan differences are stopping the water-financing bill legislation from coming into Safe Drinking Water Act. Important members of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works are trying to increase funds for water and wastewater infrastructure through the bill.
