Par excellence

Article Abstract:

The city of Hammond, Indiana where a 101-acre site surrounding a 146-acre shallow water body, George Lake had become a dumping ground for steel slag is remediated. The goal was to determine the site, cap the slag pile, raze the buildings, deepen the lake to provide a better habitat for wildlife, and create a recreational area that would include a 9-hole, par-3 golf course for young people as well as championship-quality 18-hole course for adults.
