Genetic approaches to the study of anxiety

Article Abstract:

Anxiety disorders run in families and studies show that a significant proportion of the liability to develop an anxiety disorder is due to genetic factors. However, advances in molecular genetic techniques have allowed increasing specificity in the manipulation of gene expression with the central nervous system of the mouse.
