The project surveys the distribution and abundance of diverse invertebrates to improve biodiversity conservation in South Africa. A multidisciplinary team of specialists forms South AfricaEs Inland Invertebrates Initiative in one of the South AfricaEs famous wildlife areas- Mkhuze and the adjacent Phinda Game Reserve undertakes the project.

Biodiversity of the Grenadines

The project aims to survey the ecological resources of undeveloped Caribbean islands to plan for sustainable tourism. Drs. Gregg Moore, Colin Brent, Marina Fastigi and his project team will work from Kido Ecological Research Station (KERs) 19-meter Catamaran to visit remote islets within the islands chain to conduct ecological inventories.

The project aims to survey the botanical diversity of unique wetlands to make conservation recommendation. Ina Berniakovich and his project team will gather information on the vegetative structure of bogs, peat composition of bog deposits, and human impacts on wetlands in the Belarussian 'Land of Lakes'.
