Statistical uncertainty

Article Abstract:

The debate over which method to use in the Year 2000 US census, the actual household count or the random sampling count, endangers the execution of the census activity. One of the overriding consideration for the use of sampling is that small systematic mistakes in data collection and processing can cause large discrepancies in the final result.

Article Abstract:

An international group of 60 engineers have developed a new system called XML, which allows users to comprehend various languages contained in Web pages. XML also enables authors to annotate their Web pages and label pieces of text. It also enables musical compositions to be stored as text.
