T. rex Was Fierce, Yes, But Feathered, Too

Article Abstract:

Many predatory dinosaurs had plumage as evidenced by a new feathered fossil that is a close relative of the Velociraptor. Very well-preserved fossils found in China during the past several years imply that adult Velociraptors and young Tyrannosaurus rex may be been covered in downy feathers. The full-grown T rex may also have had feathers. Five dinosaurs fossils were found with some kind of fibrous down or tru feathers. Last week a birdlike animal called a dromaeosaur was reported.

Cladistics and Early Hominid Phylogeny

Article Abstract:

Questions are raised as to the use of cladistic analysis in studing early hominid phylogeny. Studies of character variability and integration would have benefits affects on phylogenetic analyses. The most objective method for generating and testing phylogeny hopotheses is cladistics.
