Export credit still a race to the bottom?

Article Abstract:

Export credit agencies (ECAs), responsible for 8% of global exports and the financiers of large international projects, have few guidelines and safety protocols that ensure environmental protection. Meetings of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development on the subject signal the chance that the Group of Eight industrial nations can find solutions to the environmental impact of ECA projects.

Can sustainable farming win the battle of the bottom line?

There is no definitive answer to the question of whether sustainable agriculture can be profitable. It is difficult to compare profits of conventional and alternative farms and to compute the value of the social benefits of sustainable methods.
