The California gambit

Article Abstract:

The rules laid out by President Bush revealed that researchers could not use funding from the National Institutes of Health or other federal agencies to experiment on any of the 200-odd lines of human embryonic stem cells derived since August 2001. California's answer to the president's restrictions and the only solution to the problem is its new Institute for Regenerative Medicine, CIRM.
