The geometer of particle physics

Article Abstract:

The mathematician Alain Connes's idea that extend the relation between geometric space and its commutative algebra of Cartesian coordinates, such as latitude and longitude, to a geometry based on noncommutative algebras is presented. The relation between renormalization and noncommutative geometry serves as a starting point to unite relatively and quantum mechanics and thereby fully describe gravity, and Connes has already shown that time could emerge naturally from the noncommutatively of the observable quantities of gravity.

Alone at the top

Article Abstract:

The Tevatron collider at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) in Batavia, Illinois, has generated single top quarks, which helps in narrowing the search for the Higgs particle. There is a possibility that Fermilab can find the Higgs particle before the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, the European Laboratory for particle physics near Geneva, finds it.

Take nutrition claims with a grain of salt

Article Abstract:

A report on the commercial success of food products that is based on what science states about the effects of these foods on health and the sources of the science, which are the commercial interest themselves, is presented.
