Article Abstract:

Environmentalism has become corrupt and co-opted and not everyone who calls her or himself an environmentalist operates out of a sense of unity and in fact sometimes it seems quite the opposite. Accordingly, the need to call upon environmentalists to work together and regain a sense of oneness to protect nature is addressed.

Hands-on research: it takes a light touch and steady nerves to band a rufous hummingbird

Article Abstract:

Naturalist Cam Finlay has the proper touch and dexterity to band a rufous hummingbird to conduct research on them. Finlay is a certified master bander and is alarmed at the declining number of rufous hummingbirds.
