Theory and practice of technological corporate assessment

Article Abstract:

The effectiveness of accounting in evaluating the overall performance of an organization can be significantly enhanced by complementing it with technological assessment. Integrating technological assessment with accounting allows management to determine the firm's sustained turnover and profitability in the long run by looking at its technological potential. This approach involves using a technology balance sheet in combination with the trade balance sheet to present a highly aggregated overview of the organization's technological situation. The effectiveness of the approach is illustrated in the smart card industry.
