Tsunami: Wave of change

Article Abstract:

Scientist and warning centers are better equipping themselves to forecast the monster waves, in the wake of the catastrophic December 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean. The new system of warning equipped with computer models and new monitoring would help save lives by sending out early warning signals.

The mystery of Damascus blades

Article Abstract:

The sword was a primary weapon up to the 19th century, and the swords with the finest reputation were Damascus swords. A collaboration with master bladesmith Alfred H. Pendray, as replicas of these famous blades are produced, is described.
