Aging Holocaust survivors' well-being and adjustment: Associations with ambivalence over emotional expression

Article Abstract:

The study investigated affective components, psychological adjustment, and ambivalence over emotional expression among Holocaust survivors as long-term outcomes of their traumatic experiences. The data suggest that the effects of the Holocaust are evident 60 years later in 2005, highlighting the role of ambivalence over emotional expression in the well-being of Holocaust survivors.

Aging and the perception of depth and 3-D shape from motion parallax

Article Abstract:

The ability of younger and older observers to perceive 3-D shape and depth from motion parallax was investigated. Older observers can effectively perceive variations in depth from patterns of motion parallax, but their ability to discriminate 3-D shape is significantly compromised.
