Developing acceptance strategies based on a demand structure analysis

Article Abstract:

The subjective appraisal of potential users of a new product must be incorporated in the analysis of the demand structure in a certain part of the market. The usefulness of this approach is proven by an experiment involving communication devices. The experiment confirms the assumption that the user shares of the different devices are a nonlinear function of the product appraisal.

Flexible entry strategies for emerging telecom markets

Article Abstract:

Entry in emerging telecom markets may be facilitated by a decision-making framework based on balancing flexibility and commitment that may be extended to include a more ordinal ranking of flexibility and a more complete ranking of commitment. More complete pairings of technology options and entry modes as well as using a slope to denote firm risk preference could be facilitative.
