Public policy measures to support new technology-based firms in the European Union

Article Abstract:

An evaluation of European Union (EU) policies geared towards helping new technology-based businesses (NTBFs) reveals that most EU countries fail to recognize the special needs of NTBFs and that countries who recognize these special requirements have highly successful policies. The EU should recognize NTBF requirements and formulate policies accordingly if they are to realize economic policy results similar to that of the US.
