The 1992 NAHRO Awards of Excellence

Article Abstract:

The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) honored housing and community development agencies for excellent achievements in their programs and administrative policies. The Knoxville Community Development Corporation was presented with two awards, one for the Project Design category and the other for the Program Innovation: Economic Impact category. The Vancouver Housing Authority and the Housing Authority of Los Angeles, meanwhile, were presented with awards for the Administrative Innovation division. Winners for the Program Innovation: Client and Resident Services category include the Fort Worth Housing Authority and the Colorado Springs Housing Authority. These agencies were invited to submit descriptions of their programs that served as basis for judging by juries. Winners were announced on Sep 1992 during the NAHRO National Conference and Exhibition.

The NAHRO H/CD excellence awards

Article Abstract:

The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) Annual Awards of Excellence winners for 1989 were announced at the NAHRO National Conference and Exhibition in Seattle, October 15-18, 1989. The winners in the Project Design category were Riverview Plaza, Sacramento, CA; Willow Place, Loveland, CO; and Schaffer Heights, Clark NV. The winners in the category of Administrative Innovation were the Housing Authority of Utah County; Housing Authority of Louisville, KY; Housing Authority of Pawtucket, RI; Housing Levy, Seattle, WA; and Resource Sharing Network, Montgomery, MD. The winners in the Program Innovation category were the Housing Authority of Vallejo, CA; Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Alexandra, VA; and Housing Authority of Omaha, NE.

NAHRO's H-CD Excellence Award Winners

Article Abstract:

The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials has given out its annual awards for housing and community development in each of four categories: housing project design; community development project design; housing project innovation; and community development project innovation. Communities receiving recognition for excellence include: Las Vegas, NV, Columbia, SC, and Houston, TX.
