Assessment of perceived Parental Psychological Control in Chinese adolescents in Hong Kong

Article Abstract:

The study conducted on Chinese secondary school students to examine the reliability and validity of the Chinese Parental Psychological Control Scale (CPPCS) and Chinese Maternal Psychological Control Scale (CMPCS) is presented. The study suggested that the CPPCS and CMPCS possessed sound psychometric properties that can objectively assess perceived parental psychological control in Chinese adolescents.

Chinese people's explanations of poverty: the perceived causes of poverty scale

Article Abstract:

The psychometric properties of the Chinese Perceived Causes of Poverty Scale (CPCPS) in families with economic hardships are examined to lay explanations of poverty. The importance of analyzing and reporting the internal consistency of measures assessing different perceived causes of poverty are also highlighted.

The Chinese Positive Youth Development Scale: A validation study

Article Abstract:

The development and validation of the 90-item Chinese Positive Youth Development Scale (CPYDS) containing items that are related to 15 aspects of positive youth development is given. It is felt that the CPYDS method could be used as a global measure of positive youth development among adolescents in China.
