Evaluation of a treatment-appropriate cognitive intervention for challenging alcohol outcome expectancies

Article Abstract:

This article examines the effects of a cognitive intervention on alcohol-related outcome expectancies in a sample of male and female college students. Findings indicate that participation in the cognitive intervention resulted in reduced alcohol expectancies in all subjects but female participants increased alcohol consumption after the intervention.

Sensory evaluation of alcohol-related and neutral stimuli: psychophysical assessment of stimulus intensity

Article Abstract:

This article examines the intensity of alcoholic and nonalcoholic stimuli. The authors maintain alcohol related stimuli differs from neutral stimuli in relation to perceived intensity.
