From fear to faith: Efficacy of trauma assessment training for New York-based Southern Baptist Church groups

Article Abstract:

An interdisciplinary trauma training program, which is funded by the Red Cross, is developed to enhance the capacity of the New York Southern Baptist Church groups to provide trauma assessment and support through the Metropolitan Baptist Association of New York. The evaluation of the training has suggested an ongoing need for interdisciplinary training that includes faith-based groups.

Evaluating the capacity of faith-based programs in Colorado

Article Abstract:

The capacity of faith-based organizations after participating in a targeted capacity-building intervention is examined. The analysis has shown that the faith-based organizations have shown significant improvements in almost all areas of capacity, whereas comparisons between faith- and community-based organizations have shown few differences in capacity gains.

Outcomes evaluation in faith-based social services: Are we evaluating faith accurately?

Article Abstract:

The way in which the effectiveness is defined and measured in the evaluation research of faith-based programs is described. Researchers have provided some recommendations to guide subsequent studies in measuring the effectiveness in faith-based organizations.
