Lay discourses and beliefs related to food risks: an Australian perspective

Contextualising experiences of depression in women from South Asian communities: a discursive approach

Article Abstract:

Research on depression in United Kingdom women from South Asian communities indicates that women make strategic choices regarding how they legitimize their depressive symptoms and seek access to appropriate healthcare. This process is shown to be a feature of all patient negotiations of health care rather than a culturally specific one.
