Religious pluralism in contemporary U.S counties

Article Abstract:

A previous study stating that a positive correlation exists between religious pluralism and church adherence rates in large counties in the US is erroneous. Contrary to the study's results, a latter research using the 1980 Glenmary data proved that the association between religious adherence and pluralism is negative. Moreover, further analyses of both the 1980 and the 1990 Glenmary data indicate that a negative correlation exists between religious pluralism and adherence.

Religious homogamy and voluntary childlessness in Canada

Article Abstract:

A study of the influence of religion on some Canadian women who have opted to be childless has revealed that there is no noticeable link between the two. Women who are least likely to choose childlessness are those who are older, who married young, whose husband's have a high income, who are less-educated and who are very religious. Another group who seldom choose childlessness is religious non-Catholic women who have married homogamously.
