The validation of the factor structure of the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale- Expanded Version (BPRS-E) with geriatric and nongeriatric psychiatric inpatients

Article Abstract:

The Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale-Expanded (BPRS-E) is an effective measure to assess treatment change in psychiatric symptoms. Factor analysis demonstrated on geriatric and nongeriatric patients reveals that there is a stable factor structure within the BPRS-E, which allows an appropriate assessment of sub scores for geriatric and nongeriatric patients.

Measuring the informal economy: A validation study of the resource generating strategies scale

Article Abstract:

The survey conducted on adult women done to measure the reliability and validity of a new instrument, the Resource Generating Strategies (RGS) Scale to measure participation in informal economy. Results show that this scale is of great use to increase the knowledge base about the strengths and economic coping strategies of lower-income individuals.

Development of the Alcohol and Other Drug Self-Efficacy Scale

Article Abstract:

The initial development of the Alcohol and Other Drug Self-Efficacy Scale (AODSES) is reported. The scale can be useful in agency settings for evaluating and measuring social workers' confidence in treating clients who have alcohol and other drug problems.
