Trait anxiety and nicotine dependence in adolescents a report from the DANDY study

Article Abstract:

The anxiety trait prevalent amongst adolescents due to the dependency on tobacco is examined by the Development and Assessment of Nicotine Dependence in Youth (DANDY) study. The trait of anxiety and relaxation in response were found to be unrelated and appear to be independent risk factors for the development of nicotine dependence and a reliance on tobacco to cope with stress.
